The Broadmoor Vacation

In June, we had a wonderful and relaxing vacation at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs with Mark's parents and siblings (Except for Katherine's husband Dustin and Joel. Dustin is deployed in Alaska this summer, and Joel is in Marines basic training in San Diego). The weather was cool and crisp, a nice break from the Texas heat. We had a great time being together in a beautiful place, lounging by the pool, and celebrating Rick and Susan's 30th Wedding Anniversary. The girls were even treated to facials at the fancy-pants spa!

This reminded Mark and me of Lake Como in Italy!

The Cousins- they were great travelers!

Mark's First Day

Mark went to work today as Dr. Huffman, complete with his long white coat. He started his internship in surgery at the Methodist hospital in Dallas. Doesn't he look dapper? And, yes, "surgury" is spelled incorrectly! Weird. I guess he'll have to get a new coat!
Oh! I am envious. Maybe I can get Asher to call me Dr. Huffman. I'll embroider Meredith Huffman, MD, Princessology on my white bath robe and wear it around the house.
Thank you, Mark, for working so hard for us! We are proud of you.

Hudson Gray George

Congratulations to Jason and Stephanie (my younger sister)! They welcomed their son Hudson Gray George into the world on Thursday June 25.  He weighed 7 lbs. 11 oz. and was 21 1/4 inches long (long and lean like Jason and Steph!). He looks exactly like his daddy. Check out their blog for more photos using the link on this page.

Arboretum Photo Shoot

Here are some of the best of the photos we took today at the Dallas Arboretum! It wasn't the photo shoot I'd hoped for (too hot and sunny and a wiggly Peanut), but we did our best.

Precious Friends

On Sunday, we visited our college friends, Nick and Sarah Carlson, at their home in McKinney. We had lunch with them, Joey, Beth, Addison, Simon, Katrina, Carsen, and Canon! It was so much fun to see our precious friends and their children! (Sarah took the photo)

Life in Dallas

Sweet Sleeping Asher Baby

Asher on Easter at John and Elizabeth's house.
He is wearing a handsome outfit created by his very own Mimi.
We moved to Dallas one month ago and are loving our new home! We have a gorgeous apartment (with wood floors!) on the 5th floor, overlooking a quiet street in Uptown. We've spent the month setting up and shopping for new furniture.
Asher has kept us very busy, but he has been so much fun too!

Sweet Mommy Hug

Play Date with Cash, Jace, Addison, Asher, & Riley!

Asher and Mimi in Keystone

Mark, Meredith, & Asher in Keystone!

In February, Asher got to go on his first airplane trip with Mimi and Pops to Keystone, CO!  He was such a little trooper during all the traveling and hanging out at the ski lodge.

Back to Bloggin'

Asher's most recent stats (4 months old):
Weight: 18 lbs, 11 oz.
Length: 26 3/4 inches

Wowzers, What a BIG boy in such a BIG boy chair!

The rat tail must go, mommy says!

Asher's First Haircut!

Daddy and Asher share a love for superheroes!  Daddy is Asher's real hero!

Fun new Christmas toy!

December also brought Asher's cousin Will (he is 6 days older than Asher) and his parents Aunt Whitney and Uncle Johnathan from Ohio.

Asher's first snow came to College Station in December! It hasn't snowed here like this since I was 4!

My friends Sarah, Beth, and Asher's new friend Addison came to visit in November!

Sweet sleeping Asher (2 1/2 months old)

I have lots of updating to do!  It has been a very long time since I last posted on the Peanut Gallery.  Being a mom and a medical student has kept me busy!  I knew a I'd be a horrible blogger, but I promise to try harder.
